The Friedman IR-X dual-channel tube preamp is an entire Friedman rig in a compact pedalboard-friendly package. Powered by two high-voltage 12AX7 preamp tubes, each channel delivers the harmonic richness and touch response of Dave Friedman's finest designs. DSP IR cabinet/power amp simulation sends a studio-quality mic'd-up tone to your DAW or Front-of-House.

The Friedman IR-X is a Total Beast

This Friedman-IR-X is all I need.
I wasn't really into tweaking the Modelling Effects units that I have for years.Time was the Enemy and was never happy.
Then the IR-x changed everything.Tones straight out of the box.Absolutly loving it.
Both the channels are good.Channel 1 being my favourite.Takes my OD's pretty well and Number of routing options too.The Midi is pretty Handy as well.Currently Using my Pod as a midi Controller and time based effects in the loop.

One of the best preamp pedal with impulse response inbuilt

Anything Friedman comes out with is a killer. It’s a perfect combination of having a friedman OD with BE power section simulated and IR of choice. I am a tube amp purist and IRX has the preamp sections running 12AX7 which is where the tone is of the BE. This is a killer option if you want to not carry the big tube amp around for practice or Gig.
