The ODR-1X Natural Overdrive features a trio of knobs: Drive, Spectrum, and Level. Like other dirtboxes, Drive controls the amount of saturation — the ODR-1X is capable of everything from subtle coloration to tube-ish grit to muscular crunch. Level adjusts the output of the pedal. This is the knob you'd use to goose your amp. The Spectrum knob is where the magic lies: this control enables you to cut or boost your bass and treble — simultaneously. Want to take your single-coil-equipped guitar from chicken pickin' clean into humbucker-esque fatness? Cranking this knob will do it. Best of all, the Spectrum control leaves your midrange untouched to maintain a natural, transparent sound.

A bevy of pro-tailored extras

The Nobels ODR-1 is packed with professional-focused extras. The stompbox's Bass Cut knob updates the previous generation's switch offering more precise control of your sub-bass frequencies. The remote input jack has been upgraded as well, allowing the pedal and adjustable gain boost to be switched on and off remotely. Through bypass switch toggling between buffered or true bypass and the optional 18-volt operating mode, you get a true jack of all trades overdrive.
